Updated summary of the story of The Steamhawke
Now that we are on Chapter 5, I have added a short summary of Chapter 4 to the overall summary. Easy to keep track of important happenings with links to relevant posts.

Our own domain
Ladies and gentlemen, Steamhawke has moved to its own URL at www.steamhawke.com! After 6 months and 115 posts we felt it was time to make it official and branch off from our fiveanddae.com domain. With our current 16 active members we are in the middle of an epic sky ship battle, and new members can always join in.
If you do want to join, either jump right in the battle or contact Daenelia of McGinty about an easier start to your story.
Or come and start reading Chapter 5!

Ninjas in Pajamas: Common Roleplay Complaint
This is so true! I fully agree! On a forum RPG, it is the place and the time for all kind of plots together, the character is more developped because he doesn;t have only a love interest, but he has friends, enemies, workmates, he is part of a plot and of several adventures…
So, since I follow several roleplay oriented blogs, I have come to notice that there are several recurring themes. Several of them, no lie, irritate me. One in particular really stands out, however, and I’m addressing that one here and now.
Over and over again, people complain and worry over…
Roleplaying is not about spotlights. From the beginning of my roleplaying days, it has always been about creating a story together. If you have a grouip of good writers, they will always understand it is not the ‘Me Show’. Roleplaying is being an ensemble cast, caring about each character equally. And this is how we run Steamhawke.

Portrait of Captain Rackham by ~LMessecar
War Dog Combat Engineer J. Noone uses this to illustrate his biography at Steamhawke.

So, was this how the grand adventure would end? Adrift on a derelict vessel in an alchemical sargasso, starving and, worst of all, out of alcohol. Ennui and physical weakness destroyed his curiosity about exploring the Amethyst, save confirming it contained neither food nor drink.

Carol has little in the way of actual hobbies, unless you count sword practice and verbal assaults. She’ll sometimes find various ways to amuse herself in downtime, but nothing particularly consistent. She generally does what she wants at any given time.

Update at long last
Nope. We’re not dead yet. Steamhawke is still going strong with new characters and new stories.
Niles Oscar is our new Elphin War Dog. Another new War Dog is Lorelei Loewe. And new combat engineers Wren Tamryl and J. Noone help to keep the War Dogs in gadgets and weapons. Luckily we have a new doctor as well, and we picked up a new passenger: Ciprian Cendrars.
109 posts have been written over 4 chapters. And we’re so close to finally finding out what happened to the Amethyst.. and the treasure!

Steamhawke's - ooc - Forum
The next time you click on the “Forum” link on the Steamhawke website, you will be sent to the magical new Steamhawke forum. Instead of using a part of our original Five and Dae forum, Daenelia has set up a brand new part of the website that is just for discussing Steamhawke, or chatting about whatever you like.
Readers of the Steamhawke are also welcome to join the forum and chat. We are always happy to know that guests are reading our stories and we’d love to form a larger community than just the writers. -
New member: Doctor Elliot Travers
Steamhawke has a new doctor! Dr. Elliot Travers was born to a well-to-do family in Britannia, his father being a physician himself and his mother a housewife. They had connections to the aristocracy so money was never a problem. Needless to say, Elliot was groomed for his position. The Travers family had always been a family set into the sciences or the medical field. As his father would say, “Wherever there’s a man that sneezes, there’s a doctor with a shot prepared for him.”
